Professional experience

S.N.Subramanian Joined as a trainee at N.L.C.Ltd ,Neyveli on the very next day from the college (3rd May 1960 ) and got confirmed as Section officer , in C.M.E Division as a maintenance engineer.  He later on promotion as A.E.E , moved to M.M.Division as Asst. Material Controller in the year 1965.

After serving N.L.C for nearly 12 years , he resigned the job and joined

M/S Southern Petro chemical Industries Corporation Ltd, the Giant Fertilizer Factory in South .( SPIC LTD, Tuticorin )as Store & Purchase officer .

He served Spic in various capacities for nearly 26 years and retired as Vice.President in the year 1998.

During the period of his service at Spic ,Tuticorin and at Chennai, he  got more than five   elevations  such as Supdt., Chief Mgr, J.G.M, G.M, Executive Director and Vice president.....He has handled many departments and made a mark in each area during the period of his service.

During his last 7 years before retirement, he was made responsible to work as a Chief executive officer in a Chemical factory at Manali , Chennai.  The Chemical Unit was one of the largest unit in South India, producing Caustic Soda with Chlorine and Hcl acid as bye products.  The Chemical factory was taken over from M/s Kothari Chemicals as a sick unit.  Then after putting more effort by pumping more money the sick unit was re-vamped and within two years of taking over ,the unit started making profits.

Being a Mercury based plant it was felt necessary to modernize the unit to Latest Membrane technology. in view of high energy consumption & and as a Eco friendly.  This was also achieved during his period of  service as C.E.O in the year 1997.

S.N.Subramanian retired as “ Vice President” ,SPIC LTD,Chennai ,in the year 1998

after serving two major units in South India for nearly 38years.

Personal information

S.N.Subramanian is happily married to Mrs Valliammai Subramanian in the year 1963.

He is blessed with  One daughter & Two Sons  and five grand children.
